Services
There is a wide variety of documents. Not all of them can and should be legalized. In order to be accepted by the Bulgarian institutions, the documents issued by another country should be formed in a certain way. It is important to specify whether the respective country:
Has signed Legal assistance Treaty with Bulgaria - in case of a concluded Legal assistance Treaty it is not necessary to have an Apostille on the documents, but only a stamp of the department authorized in the agreement. The Bulgarian institutions accept the issued document and it needs only an official translation into Bulgarian and certification of the translation by a Notary.
Is a party to the Hague Convention (Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents, signed at The Hague on 5 October 1961) - The Apostille is important because it is a special validation of the document made by the issuing country. When a document is provided with an Apostille, it is exempt from any other certification and legalization in the country that issued it and in a country - party of the Hague Convention, in which it will be presented.
There are cases in which the document (for translation or legalization) does not fall into the above examples - then the document is required to be stamped by the relevant Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Bulgarian Embassy or Consulate.
The practice of translation agencies shows that the largest number of inquiries are for written translations.
